Pilgrim's Progress

Pilgrim's Progress

Happy Thanksgiving! My posting schedule is a bit off because of the holiday, but I have been out and about, taking some photos.

This hat was a gift from my friend Margaret (the one that I was shooting some clothes for), and it's really a lovely little thing. I've been making an effort to wear my hats a bit more often, and it's reminded me how much they can add to an outfit. I love the way this bonnet style frames the face in a delightfully old-fashioned way, and takes the look straight into another era.

Another wonderful thing about a great hat is that it can bring an entirely different feel to pieces that you've worn before. You might recognize the other pieces in this look, which I've worn in different combinations a number of times on the blog, but the hat gives it a sweetly 1940s air that I quite like.

Anyway, I hope that everyone who celebrates Thanksgiving had a lovely one, and that those who don't are enjoying the run up to the end of the year.
