Sisterhood of the Vintage Dress

I was beyond excited when Joanna from Dividing Vintage Moments came up with the wonderful idea of sending one of her fabulous dresses around the world, to be worn and loved be a variety of vintage loving ladies all across the globe. Well, last week it finally made its way to me!

I have to say, it really is a fabulous dress. I almost don't want to let it go! The way it flows and moves and drapes makes it the perfect dress to fit and flatter many different women with many different body types, and I have to commend Joanna on her choice.

While the dress was perfectly lovely standing still, it really comes to life when you're moving. The skirt just flows and flutters so beautifully, whether you're descending a flight of stairs, walking down a street on a breezy day, or having an impromptu backyard dance party.

Some day, I'm going to do a post with my goofiest outtakes, and several of them will come from the photos I took here. Today is not that day; I guess you'll just have to make do with what I consider to be the good photos.

Jazz hands!

This is one of those times where I really wish I had one of those fancy cameras that with a high shutter speed and all that. It's hard to take photos of dancing where you're actually dancing, and not halfway into a move or just finishing it. I kept trying to get a photo where I was leaping across the frame, but I mostly just ended up with some photos of me running. Someday soon, though, I'll get my fancy camera. Until then, I'll just sort of sway instead of trying to really dance.

I had so much fun playing with this vintage dress that I can hardly bear to pass it on! I also can't wait to see what all of the other lovely ladies out there end up doing with it, though, so that helps.
