Rio
Is anyone watching the Olympics this year? I'm not really into sports, as a general rule, but I love watching women's gymnastics (I swear to god, the laws of physics don't seem to apply to those girls), and I swear that just thinking about the people on the refugee team is enough to bring me to tears.
This is one of my favorite summer dresses - lightweight and light in color, with bright and cheerful embroidery to add a touch of color. It's a very easy dress to accessorize for precisely that reason, since you can basically pull any color present in the embroidery into the accessories and have it look great.
H&M is kind of killing it with their jewelry game right now. I picked up a couple of pairs of earrings there recently, including these ones. I've been wanting a pair just like this for a while now, so it kind of felt like fate to find them for only $10.
I've been practicing a few hairstyles that I'm hoping will be suited to the hot and humid climate of Hong Kong (less than a month until I leave now!), and this is one of my favorites so far. It's fairly simple, but also pretty cool looking: three Dutch braids (I've also seen them called inside-out braids) in the front section of my hair, with the ends and the rest of my hair teased and pulled into a bun. It's cool and comfortable, and it didn't move around or come undone during a long day of walking or biking.
I feel like it's been forever since I've had a chance to wear these shoes. I've had them for almost two years, but there are sadly few chances in my life to strap on a pair of 6 inch high, orange platform shoes. That might be something to work on, frankly.
