Chicago goes a little crazy over St. Patrick's Day. Not only is there a large, proud Irish population living in and around the Chicago, we are a city that really enjoys an excuse to day drink al fresco. It really is a perfect storm of drunkenness, with both rivers of green beer and an actual river that we literally dye green.

This dress felt like the a great fit for the holiday - I love the vibrant blues and greens, and it suits the day without shouting "Kiss me, I'm Irish!"

As with, uh, the rest of my wardrobe (I know, I'm getting repetitive here; I really should try shopping other places sometime soon just to break it up a bit), I picked this dress up from Knee Deep. Carlos speculated that it might have been made in Southeast Asia for vacationing tourists, and while I don't really remember his reasons for believing that, I certainly like the idea. It's homemade, but beautifully done, and it fits like an absolute dream. I rarely find dresses that hit me right at my waist, and this one actually does!

My zoom lens is out of commission right now and I couldn't get a photo of both the top and bottom of the lamp post. I hope my shitty photoshop job stitching them together isn't too obvious!

I've been wearing these shoes a lot lately, and I just want to give them a well-deserved shout out. They are, hands down, the most comfortable pair of stilettos that I've ever owned. They're Tahari, and I picked them up at DSW for under $50 for New Year's Eve. I don't think I've ever owned a pair of heels that is easier to walk in, even for hours at a time. I may have to hunt down a second pair, because I have a feeling I'm going to wear through these.

I hope that everyone had a safe and lovely St. Patrick's Day!
