A Spoonful of Sugar
It finally feels something like spring here in Chicago! I’m so happy I could dance (or, at least, do my own poor approximation of an arabesque in the park).
I’ve been wearing a lot of true vintage lately, so this feels like a bit of a departure for me. I picked up this skirt last winter at a deep discount, and it’s become something of a staple piece the past couple of weeks. It’s just really comfortable, and the spoon print feels pleasantly whimsical without being too out there. The top is an oldie but a goodie; I’ve had it for a couple of years now, and while my appreciation of it has waxed and waned, right now I’m pretty firmly in the “yeah, this looks pretty good” phase again. A good hair day and some low key accessories were all I needed to finish off the look.
There’s not much else to say about this outfit, although I will mention that it’s been really nice getting out and taking photos regularly again. Getting up early on a weekend and starting my day by taking photos and watching the sunrise has become something of a habit for me in the summers, and falling back into that groove has kind of helped me reconnect with myself, if that makes any kind of sense.
