I sincerely cannot believe that it’s been so long since I’ve posted here. Honestly, I’ve done a few shoots and thought about putting something new up over the past couple of months, but it’s just felt weird to do it after so long away. Now, though… well, we’re all just trying to survive one of the strangest, scariest experiences of our lives right now, and like many of you, I’m turning to the things that bring me joy to get me through it.

So, to offer a brief catch up on the state of my life, I ended my relationship and moved out, have spent the past few months meeting new people and enjoying new hobbies, and now I’m locked in my apartment doing sit ups and squats to try and keep my mood somewhat stable. And, occasionally, swanning around in filmy nightgowns because how often do you get to do that at work?

I’m working from home right now, and I’m so grateful just to have the opportunity to do so. I’m a receptionist, so there was a lot of concern that my team might just be furloughed, but for the moment we’re still in business. We’ll see how long it lasts, but right now I’m trying to stay positive, hoping for the best while planning for the worst.

Otherwise, as I mentioned, working out has been doing a lot to keep me sane. Unless I give in an go for the full freezer pizza, chips, and ice cream diet, I’m going to be fit as hell by the time the shelter in place order is over. Speaking of looking on the brighter side of life… I’ve also been really loving having video chats with my friends to stay connected. I’ve always been a bit of an introvert, so I’m surprised by just how lonely I’ve gotten after only a week at home. I guess I never realized just how much I enjoy being able to casually grab a drink with a friend, or even just get a hug from someone. People keep talking about the baby boom that’s going to coincide with the quarantine period, but I have a feeling all us touch starved singles are going to be going a bit crazy once this ends.

Anyway, given my current abundance of free time, don’t be surprised to see more of these indoor shoots. I have no idea if anyone is still reading this, but if you are, drop me a line! Let’s be penpals! I need some social interaction!
