Block Party
I feel like a lot of the looks that I've been putting up lately have been a bit... well, let's say optimistic. I've loved each and every one of them, but to be honest, I'm not walking around in a vintage dress with my hair nicely pin curled every day of the week. That's not to say that I don't do it, or that it's somehow inauthentic to my style, but it's also not something that I get to do every day.
On other other hand, I do view every day as an opportunity to dress well and feel stylish, even when I'm also dressing for comfort. I'd say this outfit fits the bill pretty nicely in that regard.
A knee length skirt and a t-shirt might not be the most exciting look in the world, but that doesn't mean you can't have fun with it. I think the bold black and white polka dot on the skirt plays really nicely with the smaller scale design on the shirt, and some simple shades, my ankle wrap sandals, and a great vintage bowling bag keep it fun and easy. I reach for some variation on this look probably 3 days a week.
What's your summer uniform? Do you have a go to combo that never steers you wrong?
