Quietude
Lately I've had the blogger equivalent of writer's block. Which, given that blogging generally involves writing, is probably still writer's block, but also wardrobe ennui, photography fatigue, and a general lack of interest in doing much of anything creative.
I would love to say that I feel back in the swing of things, but mostly I just realized that it's more about pushing through than waiting for the fog to lift. And it doesn't hurt that I picked up this lovely late 30s dress recently, and I was seriously excited to photograph it.
I don't usually go for maxi dresses, but I love how gorgeously ethereal this one is. The delicate floral print, the flutter sleeves, the ruching at the bust. It's pretty much the perfect late summer dress, as far as I'm concerned.
Although this wasn't my first choice of locations (forgot all my memory cards at home for an early AM shoot and had to find a less crowded spot in the evening), I think it ended up working better than what I'd originally intended.
I wish I could have gotten a few more photos of this amazing bridge, but it started sprinkling a bit around this time so I decided to pack it in.
