Frozen
The weather is absolutely insane here in Chicago right now - as I’m writing it’s currently -18 degrees, and that’s an improvement from yesterday! To be clear, these photos are a couple of weeks old. I’m willing to shoot in some crazy conditions, but not that crazy.
I love a good knit set, and I couldn’t resist this pretty, cozy turquoise one. Winter fashion can start to feel a bit dour after a while, tending as it does towards heavy fabrics and dark colors, so this felt like a nice antidote to that.
Brian and I had our housewarming party last weekend, and I wore this set for that as well. The weather wasn’t very cooperative, but it was amazing to have so many of our friends and family come to eat, drink, and make merry in our new house. The best part, though, had to be my brother Joe making an 8 hour drive from Omaha to be here! Since losing my brother Eric last year I’ve become very aware of how important my family is to me, and I was in tears when he told me he was going to come up for the party.
