Travel is one of the things that I love most in life. I don’t get to do it every year, but that’s definitely something that I’m working towards, financially speaking. Recently I took one of the longer trips that I’ve been able to take in a while, visiting 4 absolutely beautiful Scandinavian cities - Bergen, Oslo, Gothenburg, and Copenhagen.

I updated my Instagram stories a lot on this trip (it was just so much easier to use my cell phone than my big camera most of the time, TBH), and those are actually still available on my profile if anyone is interested in checking them out. I couldn’t leave Copenhagen without taking some proper photos, though! I’m a bit out of practice with my outfit photography, but that’s ok - the city was definitely the star of the show!

I picked up this dress last year, but I’m glad that I waited to do a post about it until now. While it’s a day dress (not something inherently fancy, like a gown), there’s something about it that I’ve always found really special. There were pretty strict weight limits on my luggage so I had to pack very light, but every list that I made for what to pack included this dress. The color, the fit, the beautiful shell buttons - it just felt perfect for this setting, and very comfortable for walking around all day sightseeing.

Speaking of comfortable, these Royal Vintage shoes were beyond amazing for this trip. I’ve been looking for a walkable pair of brown heels for a while, and after a couple of false starts I think I’ve found my holy grail. I can’t tell you how many miles I covered, but between Oslo and Copenhagen I probably spent 20 hours in them, just walking around and seeing the sights.

Some highlights of the trip included:

Seeing one of my favorite bands, Madder Mortem, live for the 2nd time while visiting Bergen - and even having a song dedicated to me!
Catching up with some old friends in Oslo for the first time in several years
An amazing meal at Thörnströms Kök in Gothenburg
A late night stroll around Chrstianborg Palace while drinking Carlsberg beer in Copenhagen
