Stop the World

Stop the World

Recently I got the opportunity to shoot with a wonderful photographer, my friend Silvana Estaifan. Doing self photography most of the time can be fun, but it can also be a lot of work, setting up and dialing in every shot. Having an actual photographer on hand makes things so much more flexible and spontaneous, and it's much easier to get great shots in a cool location, like this stairway on the Chicago Riverwalk.

This dress is a recent find from Knee Deep Vintage, and I absolutely adore it. It seems to be home sewn, and someone put a lot of love into the details, matching up the stripes perfectly on the bodice and adding the pointed cuffs on the sleeves. It's funny to think that in the 50s this would have been a pretty basic day dress - for 2017, it's pretty sharp!

I want to give one last big thank you so Silvana for getting up crazy early to shoot with me. I had a blast, and I love the photos!
