Beachy Keen

Beachy Keen

I am not, by and large, a beach person. It's nice once in a while, but I don't love to spend a lot of time in the sun, and I'm not a fan of sand in my shoes - not to mention other, more sensitive places. We're finally heading into summer, though, and given how hot the days are getting, a little time at the beach sounded like quite the treat.

I mean, I wasn't exactly frolicking in the sand and surf, but I was at the beach! And Brian was nice enough to hang out and take some photos with me.

There are a fair number of beaches in Chicago, most of them man made. The one that we went to was pretty nice, and very popular - we spent quite a while trying to find places to take photos that weren't completely packed out. It did have a beautiful view of the skyline, though.

This dress makes me feel like quite the bombshell. Red, off the shoulder, body-con. It's a bit of a departure from my usual style, but what's the fun in playing in safe all the time? It's fun to walk into a room sometimes and feel like you're commanding attention. Not going to lie, though - even with shapewear on, I still spent a lot of time sucking in my stomach.

So what's your perfect day at the beach?
